If it doesn’t sound good going in, it isn’t going to sound good coming out. Getting those sounds right takes a combination of creative thinking and technical know-how. Luckily I have both.
Mixing
You know the mix is right when you want to turn it up! Surgical skill and a musical ear combine to enhance the vibe; aggressive, chill or anything in between.
Mastering
Critical listening, highly detailed accuracy, and still a great deal of artful finessing wrap up the final stage of the recording process before it's off to the masses. Although I typically recommend a dedicated Mastering Engineer for this I’m happy to oblige if asked to take on the task.
